Kilts

by Megaroonie @ 2006-10-09 - 11:32:50

On Saturday I was in Glasgow to meet D who'd travelled down fron Inverness. She's recently moved from Arizona (although she is in fact German... Phew!). Anyway we had a lovely time chatting for 17 hours.

Of course Saturday was also the day that Scotland played France (or should I say beat France but we won't go into that :-) )and as such Glasgow was full of men in kilts. And what a variety there were of both. I was however only looking at the kilts! Some of the new modern ones (kilts I mean) are really good looking and it amazes me how easy they fit in with various shirts and t shirts. However it must be said trainers without socks do absolutely nothing for a kilt so guys please take note. Now chunky socks and boots they are a different matter as well as that nice open necked laced shirt (no not as in lace but as in laces that you do up or undo as the case may be) but please definitely no to trainers.

Kilts. I like them on men. Nice legs, not to mention their sporon (don't know if I have splet that right).

Some can wear them others just look daft in them, the modern ones are great tho, surprising how many you see in Glasgow on a Saturday night now. It seems to be a more and more an acceptable form of dress just for going out especially the leather and plain black ones.
